Rising First Grade Family Event

Rising First Grade Parents are invited to an after school event introducing the First Grade curriculum and welcoming you to elementary school.

Speaker: Mrs. Gabrielle Nembhard
When: Tuesday May 17th from 3:45-4:30/4:45, directly after dismissal.
Parent Council will provide babysitting on hand to watch the little ones.
Where: River Valley First/Second Grade classroom
Hosted by The RVWS Parent Council

Mrs. Nembhard will offer a curriculum overview of first grade for all the new grade school parents and share about what the day feels like for a first grader – what is the flow of the day. There will be a few first grade parents to share their perspective of their child’s experience, such as what went well and what changes they saw in their children if they came from another setting.

Then we will move outside to the playground and join the children for refreshments and time to socialize with one another.
