General Description
River Valley Waldorf School is seeking a dedicated Guidance Counselor for immediate hire for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to serve as a vital member of the school’s Care Team, fostering the well-being, emotional resilience, and holistic success of our students.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in Counseling, School Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Support, or a related field, with certification or licensure as a School Counselor, Behavioral Support Specialist, or Social Worker, or a willingness to pursue certification. They should have experience working with children and adolescents in educational or behavioral support settings, with a preference for familiarity with Waldorf education. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage with parents. A passion for ongoing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice work is a key requirement.
Hours & Compensation
Each school day 8:00 am – 3:30 pm with a weekly after-school faculty meeting and occasional special events on evenings and weekends.
Salary range $42,000 – $51,000, commensurate with education and experience.
