Employment at RVWS

River Valley Waldorf School sits amid woods and fields, on the bluffs above the mighty Delaware River. Our immediate environment is rural, yet we are conveniently just over an hour from both New York City and Philadelphia; about 40 minutes from the Lehigh Valley. Housed in a former public elementary school building, our programs include approximately 160 children in grades one through eight, kindergarten, and nursery, plus parent-child classes. We are proud to offer a strong professional development program for our faculty and of our ability to provide a full Waldorf curriculum, which currently includes: Spanish, Handwork, Sculptural Arts (woodworking, clay & soapstone), Music, Gardening and eurythmy.

Both our faculty and our parent body are tight-knit, supportive and welcoming; committed to community and diversity. Seasoned and newer Waldorf teachers sit in our faculty circle and carry the work of the school each day.

At over 20 years old, our school and community are maturing nicely. We are a fully accredited member of AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) and of PAIS (Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools).

River Valley Waldorf School is supported by a Pedagogical Chair, Leadership Council, Administrative Team, Board of Trustees and an involved parent body.
